HILL AND BERTHUIME ADVANCE FROM LAST CHANCE RACE

7:20 pm - Starting Lineup

7:15 pm - Last Chance Results

Brandon Hill and Joe Berthuime finished first and second claiming starting positions for the Shakopee 100 at Raceway Park.

Hill led wire-to-wire to get the win over Berthuime.

Kyle Calmes will earn the ASAMT provisional and Molly Rhoads will receive the Raceway Park provisional.

The Shakopee 100 is coming up next!!!

6:15 pm - Heat Race Results

Nick Murgic won the Wehr’s Machine Qualifier race with Russ Blakeley in second and Paul Paine in third. Those three will advance to the Shakopee 100 later tonight.

Mark Kraus, Brian Turtle, and Tim Schendel finished first, second and third in the second qualifier heat to get earn a starting spot for tonight’s main event.

Joey Johnson won the odd fast heat while Andrew Morrissey held off Donny Reuvers to win the even heat.

The Last Chance Race is next.

4:30 pm - Qualifying Results

Travis Sauter set a new ASAMT track record in qualifying for tonight’s Shakopee 100 at Raceway Park in Shakopee, MN. Sauter’s time of 13.354 seconds crushed the fast time set last year by Dan Fredrickson, whose time was 13.493 seconds. The top eight were under the track record.

2007 ASAMT Champion Nathan Haseleu was second with a time of 13.370 seconds with current Raceway Park weekly point leader Adam Royle in third with a time of 13.389 seconds.

Fredrickson was fourth with a time of 13.407 seconds with Jamie Iverson rounding out the top five with a time of 13.428 seconds.

The autograph session will be starting shortly and the racing action will get underway at 6:00 pm.

3:00 pm - Practice #2 Results

Donny Reuvers was the fastest in the final practice in preparation for tonight’s Shakopee 100 at Raceway Park in Shakopee, MN. Reuvers had a fast time of 13.463 seconds.

Chris Wimmer was second fastest with a time of 13.520 seconds. Jonathan Eilen was third with a time of 13.526 seconds. Travis Sauter was fourth with a time of 13.550 seconds while Dan Fredrickson rounded out the top five with a time of 13.562 seconds.

Qualifying tech is about to open with qualifying scheduled to start at 4:00 pm.

One note from the pits…Jon Lemke practiced Kris Kelly’s car this afternoon. Kelly fell ill this morning when he came to the track. Kelly did get behind the wheel late this afternoon and did tell ASAMT officials that he feels fine and will compete tonight.

2:00 pm - Practice #1 Results

Chris Wimmer was the fastest in the first practice with a time of 13.735 seconds. Jonathan Eilen was second with a time of 13.741 seconds.

Steve Carlson was third with a time of 13.751 seconds with Nick Murgic in fourth, 13.781 seconds. Jamie Farrell rounded out the top five with a time of 13.788 seconds.

1:15pm

The first practice is underway for the American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment’s visit to Raceway Park in Shakopee, MN. The teams are preparing for tonight’s Shakopee 100 that will start at 6 pm.

33 teams are on hand to attempt at making the 26-car field for tonight’s event. The fan gates will open at 3 pm with qualifying at 4 pm. The popular autograph session will take place at 5:00 pm with racing starting at 6 pm.
