THE TIME TO MOVE UP IS NOW FOR BUZZ MOTORSPORTS

Derek and Nick Neville will race in the ASA Midwest Tour for the remainder of the 2008 season!

By: Buzz Motorsports PR
Mackinaw, Illinois (Thursday, July 31, 2008): After spending their first two and a half years of racing a Late Model in the ASA Late Model Series Northern Division, Buzz Motorsports teammates and Brothers, Derek and Nick Neville are making the transition up the ranks of the short track racing world!

Car Owner and Father, Jamie Neville, and the entire Buzz Motorsports operation have made the decision to take the next step up the rung of the proverbial racing ladder and will join the Premiere Super Late Model Tour in the Midwest, The American Speed Association Kwik Trip Midwest Tour Presented by ECHO Outdoor Power Equipment, for the remainder of the 2008 racing season.

Beginning on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, the "Brothers Neville" will make their ASAMT debut at Wisconsin International Raceway, located southwest of Green Bay in Kaukauna, Wisconsin for the SCAG Power Equipment Dixieland 150.

Amongst the featured drivers in this event is NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Points Leader, Kyle Busch, the defending champion of the Dixieland 150 and overall a 15-time Feature Winner in 2008 within all three of NASCAR's premiere divisions; NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.

After Kaukauna, the Prairie State Brothers and teammates will follow the remainder of the 2008 ASA Midwest Tour Schedule. The ASAMT offers the Mackinaw, Illinois siblings the opportunity to compete against a more experienced field of drivers with higher horsepower engines, which as a result means faster speeds, more passing, less crashes and overall better racing.

"Things have been moving fast! When the opportunity presented itself for us to move up to the ASA Midwest Tour, I didn't hesitate,” Jamie Neville, car owner and father stated. “Changing horses in the middle of the season is not the easiest situation for any team. Crew Chiefs Kevin Tunks and Mike Butz along with the entire Buzz Motorsports team really stepped up and have been working virtually non-stop for the past few weeks to make this happen. We are really looking forward to racing in a series that is chock full with veteran drivers who know when to race hard and when to back off to avoid a crash."

Up until the weekend of July 25-26, 2008, the Neville Brothers had appeared in every ASALMS Northern Division event (28 apiece) since the series inception in 2006. Both drivers are still tied for the most career appearances in ASALMS North History and are amongst the top drivers in most all-time statistical categories!

The Neville's left the ASALMS Northern Division Fourth (Nick) and Fifth (Derek) respectively in the 2008 points standings after what was their last race in the series at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri. Nick Neville finished fourth despite passing the second and third place cars on the final green-white-checkered restart while Derek was scored 13th back in the July 5th event.

"The American Speed Association Midwest Tour Officials are some of the best trained and most experienced officials in all of motorsports, many with NASCAR backgrounds," added Jamie Neville. "Rules are strictly enforced and all competitors are assured of fair treatment. This is a great step forward that was made possible by the folks at Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers and Lucas Oil Products."

Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers is the primary sponsor on the side of Nick Neville's familiar lime green #155 Chevrolet while Lucas Oil Products is the primary sponsor on his brother, Derek Neville's familiar red #95 Chevrolet.

Recently, the both teams went to Wisconsin International Raceway where both drivers took part in an all day test session getting valuable on track time at the unique ½-mile tri-oval in preparation for the SCAG Power Equipment Dixieland 150.

"Wow, these cars are fast, almost a full second quicker per lap than what we have been running," an excited Derek Neville, the 2006 ASALMS Northern Division Rookie of the Year said.

"I think driver skill will be far more important now because of all the extra horsepower. I know the transition will be tough, it might take a few races to get adjusted to the new surroundings, but I am ready for the challenge," the 22-year-old added. "We will be working hard to put this Lucas Oil car back up to the front of the pack."

"We had a great run at I-70! The car just kept getting faster and faster as the race went on. It was too bad the series race director botched the final laps of the race and robbed us of our runner-up spot," Nick Neville bluntly added. "But fourth place in the record books is still a good day especially at I-70 Speedway."

"The timing is perfect for our move up to the American Speed Association Midwest Tour. The fan support for this series is incredible," continued the 20-year-old.

For the remainder of the 2008 racing season, Nick will carry the colors of Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers on the side of his familiar lime green #155 Buzz Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Additional support comes from; Lucas Oil Products, Ben E. Neville Roll-Off and Trucking Service, Nick's Quality Lawn Care, M.P.H. Promotions, and Buzz Motorsports.

Derek Neville will steer his familiar #95 with primary sponsorship from Lucas Oil Products as well as Illinois Valley Construction, Ben E. Neville Roll-Off and Trucking Service, as well as Neville Land Development, Dixie Chopper Lawn Mowers, M.P.H. Promotions, and Buzz Motorsports.
